Gameweek 9 turned out to be a very high scoring week. There has been a change at the top as a result. Niraj Paudel's 'Winning 15' is now the new leader with 529 points. Just two points behind is Santosh Baral's 'dream team' with 527 points. At the bottom end, we have 'devils fc' with 370 points.

Gameweek 7 Review

First of all, I apologize for not updating this blog for about 6 weeks! Yeah, I know thats a lot, but what could I do, I was quite busy and the main reason was by internet connection. All problems are resolved, so I should be able to update more regularly now.

So, a lot has happened in the league since my last update. Six gameweeks have flown by and there are many changes in the league table. However, we still have 'AKA ORIONS' at the top of the table with 388 points. However, the lead is only 3 points. At second, we have 'Winning 15' with 355 points on the board. 'The Silver Lining' is in third with same points as 'Winning 15'.

This was another low scoring week with all teams failing to get even 50 points. Now we have another international break. Lets hope for a better times ahead!

Gameweek 2 Review: Low Scoring Week

Gameweek 2 turned out to be a low scoring week with the highest score being just 60 points for my team 'One Arsene Wenger'. So with such low scores teams struggled to take leads or make gaps. There has been a change at the top. At number one, we now have 'radio magnum FC' managed by abhishake with a total of 138 points. Saugat's 'AKA ORIONS' has climbed one spot to second position with 133 points and my team after scoring the highest points in the league this week is in the third place with 132 points.

Talking about the Premier League itself, there were some great games. Arsenal secured their first win in the league after a solid 3-1 win at Fulham. Liverpool won their second consecutive game thanks to a goal from Sturridge and good goal keeping from Mignolet. Spurs won again too with Soldado's penalty like last time. The ultimate match of the week however turned out to be a really boring one at Old Trafford as Manchester United and Chelsea played a goalless draw.

Gameweek 1 Review

As we head to the second gameweek, let's quickly review the first gameweek. Gameweek one saw 11 matches being played in the Premier League with Chelsea and Aston Villa being the teams with double games. So managers were smart enough to select players and their team captains from these two teams. Inspiron XI managed by Jayan Singh has taken the top spot after the first gameweek, having collected an impressive 90 points. However, the lead is just 2 points as 'radio magnum FC' are second with 88 points.Three teams are currently on 3rd position 'AKA ORIONS', 'blues' and 'Winning 15' with 82 points each.

Why 'The Special League' ?

As many of you might have noticed, the name of the league has changed from 'hamro epl' to 'The Special League'. 'hamro epl' was just a random league name chosen a couple of years back and I believe not many liked it. So I decided to change the name of the league. The new name is a tribute to Jose Mourinho, who has returned back to the Premier League this season. One of the finest tacticians in the game, Mourinho is known as 'The Special One', a nick-name he himself coined.

Finally the wait is over and the new season has begun. Fantasy Premier League is back too. Thus, The Special League 2013/14 has also kicked off. As of this writing there are 22 teams in the league. Let's hope for a brilliant season with tough competition for the top spot.
